Nerea

Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 August 2026

Nerea does not collect your information. There is no account, no server, and nothing to upload.

The short version

Everything you do in Nerea stays on your device. Your journal entries, your reflections, your session history, your settings. All of it is stored locally on your iPhone and nowhere else. Vastocielo LLC cannot see any of it, because none of it is ever sent anywhere.

What Nerea stores

Nerea saves the following on your device so the app can work:

This information lives in your device's local storage. It is not backed up to any service operated by Vastocielo LLC.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, Nerea may read heart rate, sleep, and exercise data to show alongside your sessions. This is entirely optional, you are asked before it happens, and you can turn it off at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.

Health data is read on your device and used only on your device. It is never transmitted, never stored on a server, and never shared with anyone.

What Nerea does not do

One network request

In order to add new resources immediately without an app update, the Resources screen loads its list of articles and helplines from Nerea's content file. That request sends nothing about you, though like any web request the server can see your device's IP address. Everything else in Nerea works entirely offline.

When you export

Nerea lets you export your journal as text, as a PDF, or to Apple's Journal app. Exporting is always something you start, and it hands your entries to whichever app or destination you pick using the standard iOS share sheet. Once your entries reach another app, that app's own privacy policy applies to them.

Deleting your information

You can delete individual journal entries inside the app, and Settings includes an option to erase all of your Nerea data. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes everything Nerea has stored.

Because nothing is kept on a server, there is no separate deletion request to make and no copy left behind.

Children

Nerea is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Since the app collects no information at all, none is gathered from children either.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.

One more thing

Nerea is a self-help tool. It is not therapy, not medical treatment, and not a substitute for professional care. If you are struggling, please reach out to a clinician or someone you trust. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at any hour.
